LCHS Golf - SHAC & Sectional Champs! Up Next, Districts.

8 teams. Approximately 90 golfers. One SECTIONAL CHAMPION.

The Mustangs fired a 309 to win the OHSAA Division II Southeast Sectional Championship by 8 strokes!

And this was a TEAM performance from top to bottom.

Nolan Wilkin led the way with a 74 and earned SECTIONAL MEDALIST honors, finishing alone at the top of a field of approximately 90 golfers. Another huge round in what has already been an incredible season for Nolan.

But take a look at what happened right behind him.

Jackson West stepped up BIG with a 76, finishing tied for 4th overall! When championship golf arrived, Jackson brought championship golf with him.

Kristian Beachy continued his outstanding season with a 79 and a Top 10 finish, placing 9th overall. Another rock solid round from a young man who has been incredibly consistent all year.

Then senior Aiden Bene came through with an 80, finishing 10th overall! Think about that for a second. Lynchburg Clay put FOUR golfers in the TOP 10 of an approximately 90 player sectional field. That is impressive.

Senior Austin Manning carded an 89 in only his second season playing competitive golf. His improvement over the past year has been remarkable, and today he got to walk off the course as a SECTIONAL CHAMPION!

Four scoring rounds separated by only SIX strokes.

Four Mustangs in the TOP 10.

That is not one golfer carrying a team.

THAT IS A TEAM.

These five young men have spent an entire season pushing one another, competing with one another, laughing together, grinding through difficult rounds together and celebrating the great ones together.

Today they added another chapter.

SHAC CHAMPIONS.

Now SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS.

Nolan Wilkin, SECTIONAL MEDALIST.

And the season isn't finished yet.
